It started with a community at Kibbutz Sde Boker that wanted to build its own homes: minimal cost, natural materials, minimal operating energy.
The brief: a house that's well made, functional and good-looking, built from prefabricated modules. One model, designed to be repeated up to around 22 times across the kibbutz.
The idea behind it: quality of life is a basic need, not a luxury. And there's more than one way to define a home.
